2012 Annual GO Red Luncheon benefiting the American Heart Association
Callari Auto Group is a proud to be part of the 9th Annual Go Red for Women, being held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich on March 8th. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. Countless families are touched by heart disease. 1 in 3 women die from this disease. And now our children are at high risk. Childhood obesity is an epidemic. Some experts predict today's children are not expected to live as long as their parents. First time ever for an entire generation's life expectancy to drop. The GO Red for Women campaign brings women, employers and communities together to fight these leading health threats.

RE Children's Project
February 12th at Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT
Two years ago Seth Wohlberg's daughter, Grace, was happy, healthy, ten year old who loved the normal activities of everyday life such as playing sports and spending time with her friends. Then one day, out of the blue, Grace had an epileptic seizure. the seizures soon became everyday occurrences that robbed their daughter of her life. After months of tests and failed drug treatments, the worst case scenario was confirmed. Grace had a rare neurological disorder called Rasmussen's Encephalitis (RE) that was progressively destroying the right side of her brain. Without drastic intervention, Grace's seizures would worsen and, not only would she lose the use of the left side of her body, but she would also develop severe cognitive problems. The only option was to allow doctors to perform a hemipsherectomy-- a radical surgery to remove half of Grace's brain. Seth Wohlberg founded the RE Children's Project in 2010 to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for RE.
A fundraiser for the RE Children's Project will take place on February 12th at the Woodway country Club in Darien, CT. BMW of Darien, member of the Callari Auto Group is a sponsor for the event. This special evening is being hosted by 25 Darien women dubbed the "Moms for Grace." The evening will be a celebration of Grace's courage and determination, and at the same time seek to raise awareness for the mission of the RE Children's Project. In keeping with its grass roots approach, the fundraiser is a virtual event so please feel free to hit the donate button at the website, www.rechildrens.org, if you are unable to attend or live too far away to participate.
